Beta disclaimer

Phylomena is provided as a beta service. The service is offered as-is and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time without notice. We make no guarantees about uptime, long-term data preservation, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Eligibility and permitted use

Phylomena is designed for academic, research, and scientific use. It is not intended for diagnostic, clinical, or medical decision-making purposes. By using the service you confirm that you are using it for research or educational purposes only.

Your data

You retain full ownership of all files and sequence data you upload. By uploading files you grant Phylomena a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process those files solely to deliver the service to you. We do not claim any ownership over your research data and will not share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

  • Do not upload malicious, harmful, or illegal content.
  • Do not attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Do not resell or sublicence access to the service to third parties.
  • Do not use the service in any way that violates applicable law or regulations.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Liability limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Phylomena provides no warranties, express or implied. In no event shall Phylomena be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the fees you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim (€0 during the free beta period).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain and applicable European Union law. Any disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Spain, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
